“That’s What She Said”

This is a live women's storytelling event hosted by Jody Bauer of Solidarity Consulting. The format is similar to The Moth Radio Hour, but just for women.

Whether seasoned pros or brand-new to the stage, storytellers take the mic and share 7-10 minute stories from memory.

Stories have ranged from lighthearted ("An imaginary date with Harrison Ford") to deeply personal ("The first time my husband left me, I was 26 weeks pregnant"). They’re honest, messy, humorous, and undeniably human.

Rekindle your love for stories and build connections with like-minded women in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Origin story:

Jody Bauer dreamt of creating a sacred space where women's voices were shared, heard, and (most importantly) believed. A place where women found community, solidarity, and commonality with one another. “That’s What She Said” is a result of this dream, and the response has been overwhelming.

With 27 years as a Nurse Practitioner, Jody pivoted to divorce consulting in 2021 after her own experience navigating a high-conflict divorce. Jody brings both professional grounding and personal understanding to the room. She meets with each storyteller beforehand to ensure it's a good fit.

"That's What She Said" welcomes all woman-identifying and non-binary folks, and is committed to honoring voices from a wide spectrum of cultures, races, and backgrounds.
